Professor Ketan Dhatariya
Professor Ketan Dhatariya graduated from the University of London in 1991 and trained in diabetes and endocrinology in and around London. He has worked as a part-time GP and spent time in intensive care medicine and anaesthetics before undertaking a research fellowship at the Mayo Clinic.
He was appointed Consultant in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Medicine at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital in 2004 and became Honorary Professor of Medicine at the University of East Anglia in 2019.
He holds several national roles, including Chair of the Association of British Clinical Diabetologists and former Chair of the Joint British Diabetes Societies Inpatient Care Group. He also chairs the Examining Board for the UK Specialist Clinical Exam in Diabetes and Endocrinology. Professor Dhatariya has authored more than 190 peer-reviewed publications and over 20 book chapters focused on inpatient diabetes, peri-operative care and diabetic foot disease.
